ThomsonAdsett to deliver new Brisbane Inner North Secondary College

ThomsonAdsett is delighted to be appointed to lead the detailed design of Brisbane’s new Inner North Secondary College, in partnership with Hutchinson Builders.

The new flagship state secondary school in Fortitude Valley will deliver a state-of-the-art education facility for local students.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the Inner North Secondary College is a historic project, being the first inner-city Brisbane school built in more than 50 years.

“Brisbane-founded Hutchinson Builders has been awarded the contract to build this leading state high school and I am also delighted that Brisbane architect ThomsonAdsett will lead the detailed design in partnership with Hutchinson Builders.”

“The new Inner North Secondary College will also be Brisbane’s first vertical state high school and is being delivered as part of my government’s $808 million Building Future Schools Fund,” the Premier said.

Stage one of the development includes the performing arts centre, main vertical building, and sports centre. There are provisions for a future second stage, and once complete, the school will be able to cater for up to 1,500 students.

The Architectural Design was delivered by Cox Architecture and ThomsonAdsett will now complete the Architectural Documentation.

ThomsonAdsett has a longstanding history of delivering primary and tertiary education facilities throughout Australia. We look forward to working with the Department of Education and Hutchinson Builders on this flagship project.
