We recently completed three buildings at Rockhampton Grammar School that respectfully integrate into the existing site topography.
Our design provides a scaled transition between the new and old facilities, and an integration of gardens and pathways to complement and assist pedestrian traffic.
The Queensland Government’s move of Year 7 to High School, consequently created the need for additional primary classes, which required additional accommodation for The Rockhampton Grammar School.
ThomsonAdsett worked in collaboration with The Board of Trustees and academic staff at the school to deliver new classrooms for Years 5, 6 and 7.
The new 4-storey Birkbeck Building also accommodates a Health Centre on the ground level, and integrates with all levels of adjacent existing buildings to provide seamless circulation.
High quality finishes throughout create a contemporary environment for staff and students, complete with interview rooms, staff rooms and senior staff offices.
The new buildings make a bold and modern statement to passersby as approached from the city.
