Recent project – Anglican Church of St James the Fisherman

We recently delivered this project at Lammermoor Beach. Our design intent was to provide a calm, inviting space that celebrated the beautiful views on the site.

A skylight diffuses natural light across the ceiling, and all public spaces are naturally ventilated.

The colour and material palette was kept simple to reflect a calming, coastal environment.

The main chapel area can be expanded into two multi-function spaces at the rear for large gatherings, or alternatively, can be used for smaller groups – including Sunday school or worship classes.

This project won a Regional Commendation at the 2016 Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Chapter Regional Awards.
