Townsville Hospice

The Townsville Hospice and Palliative Care Centre is a 20-bed, community-funded hospice providing a compassionate and tranquil environment for patients and their families.

Warmth and homeliness are a key part of the design, and are reflected in each themed pod surrounding the central reception and staff hub.

The hospice is the largest single project undertaken by The Cancer Council, and includes a dedicated cancer research centre.

In 2010, the project won North Queensland’s Master Builders Construction Award for Health and Education Facilities between $4 and $15 million.
