ThomsonAdsett is proud to have worked with Metro North Health to complete the expansion of the Medical Imaging Department at Redcliffe Hospital.
ThomsonAdsett was engaged by Metro North Health (MNH) as Principal Consultant for the redevelopment of the existing and operational Medical Imaging Department to provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and an additional Computed Tomography (CT) machine along with associated ancillary areas including staff areas, patient waiting and holding spaces.
The intent of this project was to enable improved clinical outcomes at Redcliffe Hospital within an overall comprehensive review and masterplan for the provision of medical imaging services in relation to improving access, enhancing safety, quality and reducing waitlists.
The project at Redcliffe was completed in a little over 18 months from design conception to completion.
Being a live site, this posed some challenges, including installing the MRI machine under an existing ambulance awning and sharing one access point between builders and emergency services.
Stage two of the project involves an office fit-out of the upper level and is due to commence in the coming months.
