The Multipurpose Service (MPS) model of care is specifically designed for regional and remote communities to provide coordinated delivery of health and aged care services.

The MPS project at Molong converted the existing hospital to a Multipurpose Service, and includes 24-hour access to urgent care and emergency care in an emergency treatment room, inpatient beds, residential aged care beds, and staff accommodation.

The historic hospital building and existing residential aged care wing were extensively refurbished, and a new residential care wing added. The new wing commands expansive views over the valley for residents, and it creates a secure courtyard in the heart of the development, facilitating easy access to all parts of the redeveloped facility for staff, residents, patients and visitors.
