Macquarie Lodge Residential Village

Vibrant new living spaces and refreshed outdoor areas

Following on from ThomsonAdsett’s redevelopment around the site’s heritage-listed residence completed in 2010 which can accommodate 90 residents with high care needs, Stage 2 of the Macquarie Lodge development marks another expansion of The Salvation Army Australia Eastern Territory residential affordable dwellings for older Australians.

ThomsonAdsett’s project team designed 54 apartments. A completed tender set of construction documents was then developed with the consultant team to enable the works to be priced. Following an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process, the project team was able to maintain the design integrity and quality while addressing buildability issues.

ThomsonAdsett was novated to the head contractor to complete the construction documents, undertake the site works component, and deliver the interiors and marketing material.

The new building offers vibrant new living spaces and refreshed outdoor areas with 54 dwellings ranging from one- to three-bedroom units with the added option of a study, together with a new community hall on the ground floor of the building. Glass balustrade balconies wrap around the building’s façade giving each unit an outdoor area to enjoy the surrounding view.

Located in picturesque Arncliffe, 20 minutes from the CBD, the apartments offer a low maintenance lifestyle whilst still surrounded by a supportive and connected community.
