Creating interiors that promote wayfinding in aged care

ThomsonAdsett’s Interiors team was engaged by Japara to provide full Fixtures, Furnishings and Equipment (FF&E) specification services for their new Robina Rise Aged Care Home.

The new facility comprises five levels including a mix of independent living units, care units, community spaces for residents and visitors, and staffing areas. Our commission included all aspects of the FF&E scope – the selection, procurement and on-site delivery and placement of furniture, window furnishings, styling and décor, linen, artwork and planting.

Our team worked closely with Japara and the incumbent architects to create a cohesive design and FF&E package throughout all areas that captured the unique locality of Robina and the Gold Coast region. The selection of FF&E also incorporated a strong wayfinding strategy using theming and colours per level to assist residents to navigate through the facility.

ThomsonAdsett’s Interiors team uses a diverse background and extensive experience across a number of sectors to ensure we explore the best possible ideas for our clients. Our designers draw upon their artistic flair and deep knowledge to create environments that engage and inspire.

Our interior design services add value to projects by identifying interior challenges early on, and responding with innovative solutions. We integrate our interiors work seamlessly with the architecture and outdoor space in both new and refurbished buildings.
