ThomsonAdsett is the Architect, Health Planner and Principal Consultant for this new medical and innovation centre for Lyndoch Living in Warrnambool, Victoria.
This groundbreaking project includes an urgent care centre, a medical centre containing consultation and interview rooms, pathology area, pharmacy, dental care clinic and meals and beverage areas.
ThomsonAdsett’s design features a Cross Laminated Timber construction, showcasing locally sourced, environmentally sustainable timber.
The site already contained a town planning permit for a two-storey medical centre. The brief doubled the footprint of the building expanding the size of the medical centre, including a 3-bed bay urgent care centre with x-ray facilities and innovation spaces, spaces for start-up companies to hire and outdoor spaces for recreation.
The building also provides health and wellness facilities for the residents of the existing residential aged care units adjacent. It also relieves hospital admissions by providing care for category 4 and 5 emergency cases.
The project is currently in Design Development.
