A new world-class cancer care facility, delivering the latest in radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments to meet increasing demand.

ThomsonAdsett has designed GenesisCare’s new state-of-the-art cancer centre in Concord West, New South Wales. The radiation and medical oncology centre will provide up to 16,200 radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments for up to 1,100 people annually, servicing a growing demand for cancer services in the region.

The new centre gives patients access to the latest treatments including radiotherapy techniques and technology (such as stereotactic), along with chemotherapy and rapid access for palliative care patients. Our design needed to carefully consider the location and use of highly-technical equipment including a medical linear accelerator (LINAC) bunker, a computerized tomography (CT) scanner and several chemotherapy treatment bays.

ThomsonAdsett was novated to the builder during construction. Our team has successfully delivered this complex medical facility which will provide world-class care.
