ThomsonAdsett designs new world-class cancer care facility

GenesisCare Concord, designed by ThomsonAdsett, is a new $9.5M world-class cancer care facility, delivering the latest in radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments to meet increasing demand.

The radiation and medical oncology centre will provide up to 16,200 radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments for up to 1,100 people annually, servicing a growing demand for cancer services in the region.

The new centre gives patients access to the latest treatments including radiotherapy techniques and technology (such as stereotactic), along with chemotherapy and rapid access for palliative care patients. Our design needed to carefully consider the location and use of highly-technical equipment including a LINAC bunker, a CT scanner and several chemotherapy treatment bays.

The centre is conveniently located 300 meters from the nearby public Concord Hospital.

ThomsonAdsett was commissioned by Heathley Asset Management Limited and worked closely with GenesisCare to deliver this highly-complex medical facility.
