Construction of 11-storey mixed-use medical centre now underway

Construction is in full swing for one of ThomsonAdsett’s latest bespoke projects, Wren Medical Precinct, due to be completed in 2021.

The eye-catching, 11-storey mixed-use medical centre in Bowen Hills, Brisbane will have a unique vertical arrangement. The lobby, pharmacy, day hospital, retail and specialist suites will be located from the ground floor to level four, below five levels of car parking.

The lower levels offer a permeable, transparent form with full-height glazing. Contrastingly, the car parking levels above introduce a bold form which is layered with a striking composition of geometric elements punctuated with a green façade and fluid lighting design.

Located just 200m from the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the project offers strong connections to one of Queensland’s largest hospital precincts. Proximity to a major road and public transport options were also key to the development of the site.

The long-term vision of the developer provided a unique opportunity to create a space for Brisbane’s best medical specialists to congregate. Premium finishes have been selected resulting in a boutique, upmarket feel.

The team at ThomsonAdsett has been involved in the project from its inception and is pleased to be working with Wren Street Health Investments, project managers Akalan and builders ADCO on this exciting project.
