Adding to our track record of delivering successful projects for Fabcot, Woolworths’ own in-house retail property development division, ThomsonAdsett has designed, documented and delivered another vibrant, convenience-based neighbourhood shopping centre.
Nestled amongst one of South East Queensland’s fastest growing catchments, the centre boasts a 3,600sqm full-line Woolworths supermarket with approximately 13 specialty stores across two buildings including a medical centre and dining precinct. The centre has on grade parking for approximately 230 cars and is designed accommodates several pad site opportunities.
Our specialist Retail & Commercial team overcame design challenges such as Council’s future-proof requirement for an active street frontage where a development is designed to allow tenancies to open directly to the footpath. This will improve the amenity of the public domain by encouraging pedestrian activity as the neighbourhood expands, and it also enhances security with passive surveillance.
Woolworths Mountview Shopping Centre is on track to be awarded a 4 Star Green Star rating (Design & As Built) representing best practice in building design and construction, if approved by the Green Building Council of Australia.
