A client relationship that spans 30 years. Transformative projects on an inner city site in a regional centre.
For over 30 years, our team has work with The Rockhampton Grammar School. During this time, we have built a strong relationship with the board, resources committee and staff. Our most notable work with the school includes:
- The Islay Lee Building
- The Beasley Centre
- The Early Learning Centre
- The Birkbeck Building.
The Islay Lee Building, delivered in 2009, was designed to provide a scaled transition between the new and old facilities, with integration of gardens and pathways to complement and assist existing pedestrian traffic flows. The four-storey building features a 100-seat lecture theatre and associated drama stage, design and technology areas for metalwork, woodwork and computer aided design, music facilities, as well as classrooms and administration areas.
The Beasley Centre is a three-storey building for Years 1 and 6, and includes administration and after school care facilities.
The Early Learning Centre needed to create a market-focused ‘homely environment’ that was delivered within a fully operational facility.
On the Birkbeck Building, the project needed to address the move of Year 7 to high school on a campus with restricted space. It provides critical links between existing dormitory and classrooms.
We continue to work with the school, using our strong knowledge base about the culture and pedagogical approach of the school to deliver spaces that will continue to meet the needs of the students, staff, and community.
