Shoreline Village

The centre maximises open space, pedestrian appeal and ‘activity’ zones for pop-ups, community events, and engagement with non-retail groups.

ThomsonAdsett’s Retail & Commercial team is creating a new destination retail centre that comprises a full-line supermarket, shops, medical centre, dining precinct, civic offices and a farm market. The first stage also includes parklands, play areas and recreation zones as well as a functioning farm.

The 8,500m² development includes 350 on-grade car parks. The development will be complemented in future stages by other medium-density town centre uses.

The design takes its inspiration from traditional ‘beach shack’ forms that are blended with clean contemporary lines and a fresh colour and material palette.

This innovative project is seeking to achieve full Living Building Challenge certification, which involves providing 105% of the centre’s annual energy and water requirements as well as complying with a restricted list of approved construction materials.
