Site constraints and a limited budget provided challenges in the design and delivery of this new social club for Sandringham Zebras. The design solution was to build a new social club over the existing visitor change rooms and public amenities.

The new social club provides a 200-seat function space with views of the Sandringham football ground, Port Phillip Bay and the Melbourne central business district. This space is well regarded by members for clear sightlines to and from the sporting field on game day.

The design had to be sympathetic to the local surroundings, nearby residential area, and heritage listed boundary fence line while meeting the requirements for Victorian Football League and Sandringham Football Club.
