The facility sets a new standard for aged care in the region

Mercy Community has provided care to the residents of Rockhampton for many years, and this project is the first stage in renewing the Bethany site so that a contemporary standard of care is provided. The new three-storey residential aged care building is home to 90 residents. It has been designed to make the most of the stunning view from the corner site.

The new building is linked to the other buildings on site so that it can operate as one cohesive care campus. The interior design fo the new building has been planned to create a welcoming environment and ensure the residents feel safe in a purpose-designed home that allows them to live with dignity and comfort.

Mercy Haven’s thoughtfully designed interiors, private rooms, welcoming café/bar, landscaped gardens and shared spaces have all been built to provide a home-like environment that respects the dignity and needs of every resident.

Rockhampton and wider Capricornia have long needed additional aged care capacity and this facility sets a new standard for aged care in the region. It has also contributed to the local economy and community by creating 120 jobs.
