Drawing on our years in seniors living, we were very proud to be part of this project and engaged to coordinate the urban design analysis and design the plans for the multi-million-dollar home.
The 120-place high care residential aged care home, located at Aberglasslyn in New South Wales, received development approval within just nine months.
Drawing on dementia principles and key learnings from global projects, we ensured the project had a strong social offering which connected to the overall wellness of the centre and the surrounding community.
It was designed around the responsive and small house model of care, the home includes a central green spine of a courtyards and terraces that creates four communities, each made up of 20 rooms.
This purpose-built aged care home provides residents with a premium living experience, including an Allied Health and various amenities, featuring an on-site café, multiple dining areas, and both indoor and outdoor lifestyle spaces.
All residents of the home have the choice of a beautifully furnished single room with ensuite or choose to enjoy a larger single room, or companion room, also with a private ensuite. The choice of room styles includes options with courtyards and balconies, catering to different preferences.
