ThomsonAdsett was commissioned by Brisbane State High School (BSHS) to prepare a strategic masterplan.

Following successful consultation with the stakeholders including students, staff and parents, ThomsonAdsett produced a strategic masterplan in response to the wider growth requirements and aspirations of BSHS.

The resultant masterplan established a framework for future development at the school and continues to be built upon as key elements are actualised.

The masterplan is a result of a rigorous assessment of the unique qualities of the existing site and it identifies key opportunities to enhance the learning environment within the school. It also addresses key issues such as:

• reducing travel distances
• preservation of heritage
• creation of learning landscapes
• resolving car parking.

The masterplan creates a bold vision for an urban inner city campus.
