The design has revitalised 300 Adelaide Street into a modern, environmentally-sustainable complex that appeals to current and future markets.

ThomsonAdsett was commissioned to design and deliver a series of significant base building upgrades for this commercial Brisbane office tower, 300 Adelaide Street. The redesign included a full podium and main lobby refurbishment internally and externally, new end-of-trip facilities, a new building manager’s office, plus lifts, lift lobbies and amenities upgrades across 22 floors.

The overall design approach looked at bringing lightness and transparency into the building and lifting the site’s brand identity in a contemporary, market-competitive way. The podium façade was redesigned as a ‘floating’ glass box to create an iconic and prominent street front for the building. A new green-walled atrium in the main lobby adds to the multi-layered arrival experience while also filling the once-enclosed and dark space with natural light.

The final outcome is a design that innovatively melds old with new in a sensitive yet impactful way.
