Wayne has been involved in architectural practice since 1983. In this time he has worked on a variety of projects including Residential and Commercial buildings, Retirement Living, Healthcare and Residential Aged Care. Since 1989 he has specialised in Aged Care and Healthcare projects, working on a number of large Hospital campuses, Retirement Villages and Aged Care Facilities, including Independent Living Units and Frail Aged accommodation.
He is particularly skilled in understanding the operational and technical issues involved within the Aged and Healthcare industries and relevant buildings. Wayne's broad range of experience, predominantly in Queensland, has enabled him to contribute to a range of building and accommodation types found within the industry. His knowledge extends to Independent and Associated Living, Serviced Apartments and High Care Accommodations for people with special needs, including dementia and palliative care.
As a Project Architect, Office Manager and Principal of ThomsonAdsett, he has gained significant knowledge in all facets of planning, design and architectural practice from project conception, brief formulation and Masterplanning through to the Design, Documentation and Contract Administration phases of numerous
projects.
